13.11.10 | Makepiece on the catwalk at Todmorden Town Hall

Knitted wedding dress

The annual charity fashion show at Todmorden Town Hall is one of the events we love to support.

It's a fun evening with local businesses organising a set of clothes each and women volunteering to model for us. The event was organised by the Upper Calder Charities Assist.

Fitting it round everyone's lives means a nailbiting half hour with late models (fitting in picking up gran) and hasty last minute rehearsals (don't forget to stop for three seconds at the end of the catwalk).

In the event, though, it looked fabulous.

We showed a combination of cream wedding dresses and warm autumn winter knits to open the show. For our second set models showed finer spring summer knits with some garments previewing spring summer 2011.

Many thanks to our lovely models (in order of appearance) Rachel, Harriet, Hannah, Trish, Jenna, Alison and Emma, and to our interns Helen and Danielle who helped backstage, and to Chipps for taking these shots.
