delph
A delph is a quarry area. The Pennine uplands were often quarried for millstone grit to build houses and mills. These small quarries, close to settlements texture the landscape and provide shady hiding places for sheep and wildlife.

We use a superfine Shetland yarn, knitted into lace and felted to create the gorgeous draping texture and irregular fluted edging of these garments. Available in six colours including natural undyed and naturally dyed indigo ice, rich earth, fritillary pink, slate and black.
