These garments are super soft and sheer for summer evenings when a tiny layer of warmth is required. They are made using the finest part of the kid mohair clip from happy goats living in England spun to ultra fine yarn and lace knitted at a traditional lace knitter. These garments incorporate a serrated lace pattern we call hushing, and are finished with a boucle yarn tie made from the same soft kid mohair. Our colour range includes environmentally friendly bright – the raw colour of the yarn – and our hand dyed indigo natural dye.


collection hushings Mining in the mid-pennines was carried our by creating artificial streams along hill slopes to wash out limestone boulders left by the last ice age. These areas were known as hushings. When a hushing was worked out the miners moved on to a new one thus eventually creating a serrated landscape which could not be backfilled.
